Located in the heart of Croix-Rousse's historical neighbourhood, right off the long since demolished fortifications that protected the city of Lyon and gave its name to the "Place des Tapis", Paddy's Corner has been the establishment of choice of the Croix-Roussiens for nearly a decade.
Since the late 19th century, the address has housed a wine bar and fine grocery store renowned by the residents and the canuts (traditional Lyonnais silk-workers) of the local area.
Transformed into the "Café Hôtel Les Dombes" in the 1970s, it attracted people from all over the city of Lyon, who came to taste wines from vineyards specially selected by the proprietor, Marcel Devaux.
Today it is a "Public House" where all generations are catered for in an eclectic atmosphere, complemented by the wood and stone decor and offering an unrivalled selection of beers, fine whiskies, and cocktails of the world.
